Using Rhythm And Vibration To Gain Rapport By Kenrick Cleveland

Kenrick Cleveland

'We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.' ~Buddha

This exercise may feel a little New Agey, but indulge me a moment and you might just find that even esoteric information can help with your sales and in gaining rapport with your affluent prospects and clients.

Imagine this: everything in the universe vibrates. Everything does. The next step in sales is to imagine your prospect vibrating. In your mind, imagine the speed at which they're vibrating. Now feel/imagine the speed at which you are vibrating. All you have to do to get 'pacing' down is to now mesh those two speeds so that you vibrate at their speed.

You can then move the combined vibrations up or down, wherever you want them to be. This is 'leading'.

Is this a mental construct? Yes. It sure is. But does that mean it's not really happening as well? No. Not at all. It means that you don't really have to feel the vibration, but have the model of it in your mind.

Look at your prospect as if they are vibrating and then watch for any rhythmic movements they might be making. Are they tapping their foot? Shaking their leg? Rocking back and forth?

Here are a few things you can pay attention to make the rhythm more easily understandable.. .

Pay attention to how they're breathing. Is it located high in their chest, or low in their belly?

All you have to do is be open to the idea that can sense this and use it to influence.

If I were to say to you, 'Close your eyes and take a deep breath', your rhythm would probably begin to slow down.

Your first assumption was an altered state. Your vibration changed because your assumption changed.

Now simply imagine your vibration increasing, moving faster, faster, speeding up.

What direction is it traveling? Some people experience theirs as going around in circles, others feel it goes up and down, or back and forth.

Now move faster. Expand it.

How does it feel when you speed up? What difference do you feel vibrating fast and vibrating slow?

In knowing that difference, you can begin to adjust to your affluent prospects in any given situation. By doing this, you gain a deeper rapport in addition to being able to get them to go where you want.

Workers Improve With the Construction Business' Rising Curve

A company cannot survive without effective laborers. You could deduce that good employees are the folks who improve with the company and are prepared to give their time and creativity for the organization' advantage. Employers who overlook this are always dealing with the training of new people in the quick turnover of laborers.

To avoid accidents, several safety measures should be implemented, making it hard to manage construction projects. The equipment should also be provided to effective employees.

The market will continue to improve when management understand that workers often risk their limbs and lives. Finding methods to make the employees' lives safer and simpler must be top management priority.

Sense of Ownership

The constructon business employs people who possess the skill and the experience in their different expertise. Mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers should ensure that everyone is trained to use equipment and machinery as they have liability over the workers.

A better working environment is fostered by a sense of ownership and accountability. Construction management should increase the employment chances of both workers and engineers. Giving the crew training and coaching can improve performance and encourage morale and loyalty to the organization.

Those using heat guns, grinders, blowers and vacuums, and rotary hammers should be educated to use these tools and provided with safety gear. They are also given by the management with the equipment they use and log the use of the equipment daily to avert breakdowns and expensive and time-consuming repairs.

When Bosch parts and Delta tool parts require immediate replacement, workers can tell management because they are already familiar with the tools. Management can then quickly order replacement parts from the Internet from eReplacementParts.com and others to minimize the downtime.

Consistently Supporting

Construction companies work hard to bid on projects to provide their employees consistent work, as they are always on-call. If they hire laborers all the time, things won't operate smoothly.

Companies should always ensure their employees' safety. Regular re-echo workshops and safety measures training can do this.

The training must incorporate training for the correct outlook and not be limited to the mechanical or technical aspects of the project for the personal success of the workers. If the curve moves upward, so should the success of the laborers.

What's Missing From Your Network Marketing Business? By Sean Proske

Sean Proske

How many times have you been told it was possible to earn a full-time income in network marketing by sponsoring friends, family, neighbors, coworkers... your 'warm market', only to find out that it wasn't true?

If you're like 90% of network marketers, you're struggling to earn even the equivalent of minimum wage from your home business, and quitting your day job is still little more than a dream.

What's missing from your network marketing business is a real business plan. Going after your 'warm market' is a great business plan for your network marketing company because they have access to LOTS of 'warm markets'. It's a numbers game that works in their favor. Every one of their distributors is going to tell everyone they know about the product and the business opportunity... that's a lot of free advertising, and some members of those 'warm markets' will buy the products or become distributors themselves, and then tell everyone they know.

It works great for the network marketing companies. Any ROI on an advertising budget of nearly $0 is a great return. It doesn't work so well for you though because you only have ONE 'warm market'. ONE group of friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. and very few of them are entrepreneurial enough to recognize a good opportunity when it's presented to them... let alone risk their time, effort, and money pursuing that opportunity even if they do see it. The numbers don't work in your favor. You simply can't do enough volume within your 'warm market', so the 'warm market' approach is a terrible business plan as far as your own business is concerned. If you're persistent enough you probably will sign a few people up... but not enough for it to be worth your while.

A real business plan will correctly identify members of a 'target market' and describe a system for communicating an offer to satisfy a want or need that exists within that group. Does handing out DVDs to everyone you know, and dragging them off to meetings for no reason other than you happen to know them sound like a real business plan?

It's important to know that there's a difference between a 'target market' and a 'warm market'. The network marketing companies call the people you have a personal relationship with a 'warm market' because the people you know are 'warm' to you... however, they usually aren't very 'warm' to the idea of starting a network marketing business. A 'target market' on the other hand is an identifiable group of people who are likely to be interested in what you're offering.

So, who is your target market?

It's simple. Your target market is the 90% of network marketers who are not successful.

What do they need?

First, understand what they DON'T need. They DON'T need a new network marketing business opportunity... they already have one. Pitching your opportunity to them would be like trying to sell a car to someone who just bought a new one. They're not in the market. They'll probably be needing to fill the gas tank though.

What's the fuel that runs a network marketing business? Generating leads... and sponsoring them.

To satisfy that need, you need to learn how to generate leads yourself and then build or acquire a system to communicate with them, and ultimately sponsor them... automatically. You're halfway there now that you know who your target market is. Network marketers are easy to find on the Internet, in fact many of them have probably already found you... been spammed lately? Got a reply button?

The next step is to learn something about copy-writing, landing and capture pages, and sequential auto-responders. Learn the mechanics of putting together an automated lead generation and follow-up system, and then put one together. All the information you need in order to accomplish this is readily available, just search for it in Google.

If you don't have the inclination to put such a system together on your own, then there are plenty of ready-made systems available to plug into and again Google can help you find them. Once you have your system in place don't use it to send out marketing letters about your business opportunity. Use it to sell yourself, and the system you've created (or obtained), and to provide valuable information that will help others to succeed. Remember, your target market is looking for fuel... they've already got a vehicle. They'll get into your vehicle with you once you've demonstrated your value to them.

Nobody gets into network marketing to sell vitamins, cosmetics, or anything else. They get into network marketing because they see it as a vehicle to achieve financial freedom. If they perceive your system as the fuel they need in order to take their network marketing career to the next level then they'll be open to joining your team in order to use your system.

When you can step outside your 'warm market' to generate qualified leads within your 'target market', and follow-up with them automatically... then you've basically got yourself a network marketing gas station. You've got something that 90% of network marketers want and need, and are actively seeking. Sponsoring many of those who go through your system and see value in it will be the natural result.

Successful Leadership in Organizations

Building Up Leadership in Companies

Companies that know the importance of strategic planning and distribution of tasks reap the rewards in terms of industry recognition and financial profits. Companies also profit if the people at the helm know which way they're going and why they've taken that road. This confidence stems from the careful and effective strategic planning based on current statistics and business trends.

Because there's plenty of investment at stake, companies must keep up with the evolving trends. That's why leaders and potential leaders should be able to balance strategic planning and problem solving tasks to cope with these changes.

Future Chances Must Be Seized

Creative juices flow and the organization is energized with strategic thinking. It is like maintaining one foot in the present and the other in the future, while the whole time relying on both sides to get a broader perspective.

A broader perspective is fueled by a specific goal or end. Strategic thinking assesses all angles: what does the company hope to achieve? When does the business hope to meet the goal? What are the on hand resources? What are the needed resources? Which areas should be strengthened? What areas are to be enhanced? What are the excellent areas to maximize? What gaps have to be filled up?

Nothing should be left to chance, so all possibilities must be explored, making these questions essential to strategizing and critical thinking. All circumstances should have back up tactics prepared.

Successful Planning

Going for success is at the core of all strategic planning; hence, before formulating objectives, present conditions should be assessed to give results that are time-bound, focused, measurable, and specific.

Each step should be examined, observed, and documented for future reference and planning. Strategic thinking must function in terms of input, output, and projected results. Getting objectives within a particular period is involved in the concentrated interventions and methods.

Before any methods are applied to let a business to increase profits after a quarter, people's performance, cash flow, attitudes of clients and suppliers, and the changing trends and technology are carefully evaluated.

To keep businesses in league with the competition and working with the evolving trends, they hire consultants to train their people for the skills needed to keep up. The Center for Management and Organization Effectiveness or CMOE provide customized training programs that let personnel enhance skills in communication and conflict resolution, develop teamwork, and explore their potential.

When businesses have well-trained leaders, potential leaders, and good team members, they can expect improved performance and an excellent edge in strategic thinking that makes them a competitive player in the market.

The Most Popular Business Books By Dock Murphy

Dock Murphy

Currently in your local bookstore are a number of newly released books that can provide rich insight and glorious financial understanding of a variety of hot business topics. From the stock market to the supermarket, these books have hit a vein in the American public by enlightening them to subjects that heretofore seemed elusive and confounding. Here are a few of these successful books, and a little bit about why you might want to pick them up when you have a little extra money.

Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets by William Bonner is a look at societal groupthink and why it’s so important to forge your own path when it comes to investing in the stock market. Taking a rather bold and unusual stance against such “safe” investments as mutual funds, Bonner and his coauthor take a look at mass thinking and why it so seldom resembles sound investment strategy.

Results That Last: Hardwiring Behaviors That Will Take Your Company to the Top by Quint Studer will be released sometime in October and promises an interesting look at what makes a business successful in the long run. Studer argues that a businesses success has little to do with products or service and everything to do with positive and exciting leadership. While a good product or innovative service may be the ticket to the top for a short while, it is Studer’s intention to demonstrate that the companies that last the longest and stay at the top do so through strong management and his book provides proven leadership strategies.

Your Portable Empire: How to Make Money Anywhere While Doing What You Love by Pat O’Bryan is a tome dedicated to showing the average everyman how to create an online business that requires little day to day work to produce a flow of passive income. Without reading the book, it seems to be mostly geared toward the production of a website and the sales of informational e-books, and the salesmanship and strategies toward making these e-book websites a success.

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Timothy Ferris is a fascinating book by a Princeton lecturer who has found and put to use a number of secrets for living in the now, and not waiting for retirement to enjoy relaxation. Its strategies include how to retrain your supervisors into putting a higher value on results and production than actual presence, and how to trade a fulltime career for several short “work bursts” sprinkled with mini-retirements. A must have for those tired of living for the clock.

These are just a handful of the interesting books at the top of the bestseller’s lists. There are many more for those patients enough to peruse the stacks, read the reviews, and avoid judging a book by its cover. Read, and be filled up with knowledge.

Put Your Marketing To The "So What?" Test

Want to get Better at your Marketing today?

For many service business owners, marketing can be a real mystery. We don't really know exactly how it works. We're not real sure about what works best for us. And probably because of some past frustrations, we're not even sure where to start.

Most seem to at least have a notion of what's involved in marketing...a web site, Yellow Pages advertising, brochures, direct mailings, networking, seminars, trade shows, etc.

But if that's all it took, wouldn't we all be attracting enough clients?

I'm sure you've tried one or more of these things at least to some degree. And I'm sure you've had at least some successes now and again. But are you able to make it work consistently for your business?

If not, what could be going on?

First, let's agree to a definition of marketing. Here is my favorite one for small, service-based businesses:

"Marketing is the use of strategies to generate a constant supply of high-quality leads for your service business." Simple to understand and speaks directly to the results we want.

OK, so doesn't this definition take us right back to what we said we already knew about marketing... a web site, Yellow Pages advertising, networking, etc.? Well maybe, but first it's important to understand why your current marketing activities aren't producing consistent results.

Put your message and materials to the "So What?" test.

Start with your core marketing message. Pull out your most frequently used marketing tool and read it out loud. Put it to the "So What?" test.

After you read it out loud, is it possible that your intended audience could respond with... "So What?"... "Why do I care?"... or "What's in it for me?" If your message doesn't tell your intended audience what solutions you are providing to address their issues/problems/challenges, and how it relates to the benefits they'll receive from your services, then a "So What?" response is exactly what you might expect.

Messages and materials that are all about who you are and the history of your company and what services you offer and why you're so qualified to provide these services and how you partner with your clients to achieve superior results, etc. are likely to fail the "So What?" test.

Challenge all of your current marketing materials. Remember, it's the intended audience that counts. What's in it for them? Why should they care?

Listen, if your marketing is consistently generating all the high-quality leads you can handle, then don't change a thing. But if you haven't quite figured out how to generate a constant supply of leads for your service business, then you owe it to yourself to challenge your current marketing tools by putting them to the "So What?" test.

Try these ideas:

* Challenge all of your marketing tools that aren't contributing to consistently generate leads for your service business - even the ones that have worked in the past. Could you improve the message and get a higher return? Put it to the "So What?" test.

* Try the X's and O's test (especially with the last letter you wrote). Mark an X every time your marketing piece mentions your name, company name, or the words "I" or "me". Mark and O every time it mentions the prospects name, company name, or the word "you" or "your". If the X's outnumber the O's, rewrite it before using it again.

* Try gathering up a group of people you can trust to give you very honest feedback. You're not just looking for proof readers, but individuals who will give you honest feedback on whether your materials pass the "So What?" test.

* Be prepared for some negative feedback, but more importantly, be prepared to do something about it.

* Don't just accept opinions, but try to get down to realistic response. For example: "I think this part is too wordy and detailed." (opinion) versus "I got pretty lost and confused with the level of detail in this part." (response)

* Remember that it is the intended audience that counts. If it's not clear who the message is intended for when it's received, then how can it pass the "So What?" test.

Shopping Canada Is Simply Fabulous By James Brown

James Brown

The Edmonton area is one of the most fabulous places in Canada for shopping, at least in terms of size. The world's largest shopping mall is located here and shoppers can spend hours and even days happily wandering past the brightly lighted and attractive store displays.

West Edmonton Mall contains over 800 shops and 100 eating places and 9 world class entertainment activities. It is the number one tourist attraction in Alberta and covers the equivalent of 48 city blocks on the west side of Edmonton. There are so many things to see and do at the West Edmonton Mall that some people never bother shopping there, they just go for the entertainment features.

Galaxyland, associated with the mall since 1985 is the world's largest indoor amusement park. There are 26 full-sized rides for thrill seekers of all ages, including the Galaxy Orbiter and singular roller coaster ride that never repeats. Teens are invited to Rock 'N Ride Dance parties each school year at the Mall where from 8 to midnight, teens can get unlimited rides, watch two giant video screens and have all the danceable music anyone could ask for.

An ice rink, live performing sea lions in their own enclosure and miniature golf are just a few of the other attractions that bring people in by the thousands daily. People can enjoy window shopping Canada style and feel quite invigorated by it afterward.

Your shopping experience at West Edmonton Mall couldn't be better. There are shops for swinging seniors as well as for toddling tykes and each one is made to feel unique no matter what body size you are. Merchandise from all over the world is found in the anchor stores as well as the specialty shops that make mall shopping so interesting.

And the food experience here could keep a gourmet satisfied for months to come. There are the usual ethnic cuisines and of course fast food places, but there are some unusual experiences in food shopping as well. For example, there is health food and an Asian Market located on the theme street known as Chinatown. Two other major theme streets are found at the mall--Europa Boulevard fashioned after major European cities; and Bourbon Street, that will make you think you are entering old New Orleans.

If you decide to make a vacation out of the mall, you can choose to stay at one of the luxury hotels located at the mall and in many other locations around the city. For those who like to shop, it's the ideal vacation.

Advertising Consulting Services for the Internet

There are two key things you need to know when considering starting out as an internet advertising consultant. The first of course is advertising experience. If you have done advertising in the past and enjoy the work, then that is the first step.

Secondly, you need to know about the Internet. Your Internet knowledge needs to be updated constantly to keep abreast of the current trends. While contemporary advertising - television, radio, and print, are still effective means of advertising, the Internet needs to be approached a bit differently.

When watching television or listening to the radio, people don't generally have a choice about what they see and hear in the line of commercials. Those commercials of course are advertising. Even when reading the newspaper or a sale ad, people only see what is in front of them, not all the options available. If one grocery store buys an ad in the local newspaper and another grocer does not, the consumer is only seeing one ad.

The Internet has changed the face of this kind of advertising. Anytime that someone opens a web page; they are looking for something specific. People who surf five or six web sites are likely to see hundreds of ads without really knowing they are seeing advertising. Banners, affiliate links, tool bars and the like are all types of Internet advertising, revealing products or brands in front of the consumer.

If a consumer is looking for a product online, and does not know where to find it, or there are multiple sources to find it, the savvy Internet user generally goes to a search engine. Searching for the product by typing in the general name or brand that they are looking for, the consumer can then choose from a list of sites that offer that product. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a system of strategic placing of certain words or keyword phrases on a web site that will allow the search engine to select that site if someone types in that word or phrase. The key to SEO - the first sites to pop up are the ones that are hit on the most often.

Knowing these concepts and expanding on them allows internet advertising consultants to guide and direct business owners in the most effective line of advertising for their products. Many people who run successful Internet businesses are people who don't know much about the differences between Internet and other forms of advertising. You are the link that these business people need to market their products.

Internet Advertising Consulting Services are quickly becoming a specialized field. There are so many aspects of the Internet that business owners, especially those new to the web as a market, will not know and will be grateful to you for showing them. Knowing how to get those companies names and brands out there on the web will give you an edge over advertising companies that are still focusing on contemporary methods of advertising.

The Internet is not a fad or a passing phase. The challenges and changes that are coming with this relatively new market are going to be both exciting and profitable for anyone who embraces it. Open your own advertising consulting services business today and step into the future.

What You Need To Know About Bank Seized Cars

In our daily lives we all need a vehicle to travel in. While many of us are fortunate enough to have their own car, not all people are lucky. For whatever reasons some people are unable to afford a car, as much as they want to. And this is where one can think about buying a bank seized car or bank repossessed vehicles.

Car prices are skyrocketing, and are on the increase daily. In such conditions considering buying a bank seized car is a good decision, as it's much affordable that what you can get. So, what are bank seized cars? People buy cars taking a loan, however many people are unable to pay their loans due to their various personal reasons. At such times banks take over or seize the cars from people who are unable to afford to pay up their loans. These are known as bank seized cars.

Now just imagine, if banks keep seizing cars from people who are unable to pay up, they land up having their very own inventory of cars. These cars take up space and need to be stored. All this costs money. And so banks auction these seized cars that they have acquired. After all might as well make money, however little may be, than keep spending in order to store and keep these cars. Thus auctions are held to sell these seized cars.

First thing, while a number of banks do advertise as to when they have these auctions, a lot of them don't, and are only privy to realtors and real estate agents. However there are a number of websites that inform you of these auctions. What's more these websites also have the listings of what's available. So, it's advisable to become a member of such website and get all this information, just by the click of your mouse. Check out for http://www.choosetheprice.com more details. You'll see that they have listings of vehicles that are available, and you can also get access to online auctioning and avail of really low rates.

If you make use of such websites, you know what type of vehicles are available and you can roughly estimate, how much you would want to spend at these auctions. You also have the reviews of cars that you can get, so you know what condition the vehicle is in. Having such vital information at your disposal, makes your work easier, in terms of knowing how much to bid and what to expect. Websites such as http://www.choosetheprice.com make it possible for you to have your dream car. Customers can save a large sum of money, but just using these websites for what they have to offer.

Another thing, when you do go for these seized vehicle auctions, make sure that you go early, and if not possible, be there on time. It's pointless being late and missing out on the action.

If your bid is accepted and you do have the car of your choice, it's important that you analyze and read the contract and terms well. The contract is legally binding, so before signing on the dotted line, know what you're getting into.

Overcoming Loneliness When Working From Home By Sandy Naidu

Sandy Naidu

I love the flexibility that comes with working from home. I love the fact that I can define my own hours. There are however some disadvantages of working from home. One of the most common problem people working from home face is ‘loneliness’. Here are my tips to overcome loneliness when working from home:

Keep In Touch: These days with ‘Twitter’, Instant Messaging and Skype you can be in touch with your friends online anytime. Having online friends with similar interests keeps you accountable and motivated. However try to not to spend too much time chatting. If a friend is in a mood for a long chat during business hours you have to be up front and tell them that you will have to get back to them later. For me just knowing that I have a network that I can rely on is good enough. Just that feeling that you are not alone is sometimes enough not to make you feel lonely.

Forums: Forums serve a dual purpose. They are an excellent means of getting the word about your business and they also allow you to keep in touch with other business friends. Again don’t spend too much time on forums. Don’t expect to find all your customers on the forums.

Podcasts: I am addicted to podcasts. I love listening to podcasts. There are heaps of podcasts on the internet and the number is growing every day. I prefer business oriented podcasts.

Take a walk: When you are working from home it’s quite easy to get chained to your desk. There are no water coolers to take your mind away from work. There are no colleagues across the desk to chat about the latest movie releases. So you need to come up with something that can take your mind away from work for some time. I normally walk to the park with my son mid morning. I love it because I come back all reinvigorated and my son is exhausted.

Move to different location: I sometimes get quite bored of my home office. When this happens I take my laptop with me to a different location. I am either off to the library or to the local café or my garden. And of course working on the bed and watching a movie on the cable is always tempting and I have a fallen a victim to this trap many times.

Make Money With Google Adsense - Ten Step System to Make Top Google Adsense Money

1. Keywords and Competition

To make money with Google Adsense it all starts here by choosing high paying Google Adsense keywords to make more money. Look for keywords that are searched for frequently, but have little competition and build web pages around these keywords. Your pages will still display the high paying Adsense ads to make you more money.

2. Good Domain Name

Register keyword rich appealing names.

3. Interesting and Unique Content

Creating unique and interesting content for your visitors so they return will make you even more money with Google Adsense. Your own content is best, or you can go to the article sites and use their content (as long as you abide by their rules), but add an introduction and a summary to make it unique.

4. Professional Looking Website

Many quality templates are available for you to produce Google Adsense websites. Use images sparingly to avoid distracting visitors from your content and clicking on your Adsense ads. Professional looking sites make money; don´t build a website that looks like your dog created it.

5. Optimize Pages

Well optimized pages rank well and will make good Adsense money:

— Title: Your keyword and a few extra words

— Meta Description: Use your keyword and make it appealing

— Meta Keyword Tag: Only use your keyword and one or two related keywords.

— Keyword Density: Aim for 3% - 5% keyword density

— Internal Linking: Use keywords in links

6. Adsense Placement

It´s well known that Google Adsense ads displayed at the top and middle of the page make more money than those down the side or at the bottom. Make your Google Adsense ads blend in with your page.

7. Blog

Create blogs and add links to your site and to some of your posts. Blogs that have regularly posts rank higher and get listed faster than websites (any links get spidered too). Write at least two posts a week and use Google Adsense on your blogs to make more money.

8. Google Site Map

Getting indexed fast will make you more Google Adsense money. Create a Google site map and send it to them and your site will get indexed fast.

9. Articles

Few use this method of generating free traffic to make money from Google Adsense. Articles also give you quality one way links. For a new site write two to three articles a week.

10. External Links

Nothing will improve your search engine rankings more than having quality one way links to your site. Good links will also give you more traffic to make even more money from your Adsense ads.

Before the Business Plan

Purveyors of conventional wisdom would have you believe that the very first thing you ought to do when setting up a new business is to create a business plan.

It doesn't matter whether you are selling odds and ends on eBay from your living room or something larger and more complex,

Business plans are excellent and necessary. Far too few of us self-employed and freelance people use them.

They force us to spell out our objectives. We have to assign numbers to our expectations and assign a time-line to our goals. They become our roadmap and keep us on track.

But I suggest that you can't make a business plan that is worth anything until you've done your homework.

And that means knowing what you want to do and how you want to do it. And determining that there is sufficient demand for your product to generate enough income to cover your costs and allow a profit.

In other words, before the business plan comes research.

If a body of knowledge already exists, it makes sense to tap into it and save you some work. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics and other such sources, for example, publish a great deal of demographic information. Some of it is very useful.

But it is also likely that as a creative sole-proprietor, meaningful statistics don't exist about your specialty.

Many micro-businesses target a very specialized niche. And many owned by creative types exist to sell a product or service that don't follow well-worn prototypes.

It is particularly difficult for such people to find meaningful published data.

If you fall into these categories, you'll have to generate your own information.

Don't limit your research to purely business data. You are building a life as well as a business.

Are the demands and conditions of your proposed business compatible with the life you want to create?

For example, illustrators often work on short deadlines - meaning that sometimes they have to work far into the night to complete a project on deadline. Plus, some clients are demanding and some do not pay on a timely basis. After all of that, can you still "love it" enough?

Or, maybe your business is such that sales fluctuate during the year. How will you make it through the lean months? Can you handle the uncertainty of a fluctuating income?

So, how do you find information?

First, if other people provide services similar to yours, talk to them. You will gain a lot of information quickly. Their answers to your questions will save you a lot of legwork and open your eyes to factors you may not have considered.

Try to talk to at least five or six people so you can get a range of viewpoints.

You can find them through trade associations, schools, word-of-mouth. If the locals are reluctant to share information - perhaps because they see you as direct competition - look for similar people in a different locale.

Second, create the information you need.

Mimic and simplify what large businesses do. Reduce their methods down to a level that is practical and affordable.

For example, perhaps you want to survey potential clients and customers to get feedback.

If you are a creating a micro-business on a shoe-string, it may not be affordable nor practical to commission a focus group. But you may be able to speak to potential targets informally or use direct mail to send a simple survey.

Eventually you'll have to 'put your toe in the water.' Try it out in a small way - so you won't lose much if it doesn't work - and observe the results. Then experiment and modify as needed. Once it works to your liking you can plunge right in.

This approach, known by the technical term "trial and error," can be applied to any facet of your business.

After all, even the largest producers test market new products before rolling them out.

Put some parameters around your efforts. Decide, in advance, how much time you want to allow and how much you want to budget.

Then test, test, test.

Use trial and error for every aspect of your business. Experiment with different ways of packaging your services, different rates and prices, different types of marketing, etc.

You'll soon find that certain approaches work better than others. Eventually your experience and data will suggest viable strategies.

And then you'll be ready to create your business plan.

Do You Know How To Keep Customers By Simeon Garner

Simeon Garner

The best way to keep customers is to not have any. If you don’t have customers you can’t loose them. I know you are thinking and may even be saying aloud that this guy is a complete nut. Just how stupid can you be and still write or maybe someone is writing this for him.

Let me clarify what I mean by not having customers. Most people would classify a customer as someone who buys a product or service from you. If you see people who buy your products and services as simply potential buyers of things then you are completely missing the boat.

What you should see from people who purchase from you are potential clients. Clients are people with whom you build a long term relationship by determining their needs and goals and finding a way to fulfill those needs and goals. This does not mean selling them the sizzle instead of the steak or any other form of selling them something that does not take them in the direction of their goals.

This does mean finding out everything you can about your potential clients needs and goals. Who are they, what is their family life like, what is their troubles and how can you help them to alleviate the trouble and reach their goal?

Make sure you qualify your potential clients to assure your products and services are right for them and they are right for you. If your product or service is not right for them or they are not right for you do not be adverse to saying “Sorry, I can’t help you.” The first way you build a client relationship is to assess your potential clients needs and if you and they are a fit. Once you see they do fit then you are well on your way to building a lasting relationship.

In a buy sell relationship you have people trying to sell you something all the time. Every time you hear from them it is to sell you something. I don’t know about you but I really get tired of this type of relationship. I like to believe the person on the other end of the sales pitch has my interest at heart even when I know that isn’t true.

When we are talking about selling on the internet, sales pitches are getting ridiculous. I have been on people’s list where I get a sales letter from them every day and sometime the same sales letter more than once. These people may care about the quality of their products but they care very little about a relationship with their customers. What they do care about is a sale and a profit.

What they fail to realize is that what they get in profits by making these types of sales could actually be increased many times over by creating a real client relationship. The trouble is that this client relationship is too much trouble to create.

I know you have heard of Joe Girard, the famous car salesman who sold more cars than anyone else ever has. He built his entire business by sending thank you cards. In fact, he sent so many, he employed 3 full time staff members to send them out for him. He sent out thousands of cards every month and on the front of the card he said “I like you”.

If this worked for him then there is absolutely no reason to believe it will not work for you. Just imagine that over the course of the year you spent $10 on sending cards to one family. If you got just one referral from that family you would make enough profits to send them cards for years. If you get several over the course of several years you would build a referral business like you have never imagined.

Think about it for just a minute. What would your business and profit ratio be like if you increased you sales in the next year by just 20% . Would that be worth sending out a few hundred cards.

If you could find a way to make sending cards to your clients easy and affordable would you be interested?

Become A Recognized Expert In Your Field By Patrick Schwerdtfeger

Patrick Schwerdtfeger

How would you like to have prospective clients call YOU? How would you like to stop chasing business and sit back and let the phone ring? Most of us would love that luxury. And after years in a particular business, many of us get to that point. But it’s a struggle and many others never quite get there. The trick is to become a recognized expert in your field, to establish a name for yourself that is associated with expertise in your business. The trick is to become so well known in your field that prospective clients seek you out and never even compare you with your competition.

You already know the recognized experts in your field. You know who they are. And in many cases, their achievements appear out of reach. Their business reality is so different than our own that it seems almost out of reach. Well, that is not case. Although these recognized experts seem to have a certain degree of star power, they are human beings just like you and me and they got to their level of recognition by following a strategy, by doing certain things deliberately to achieve the desired results.

So the question really is: what did they do? What were the steps along the way and exactly what did they do to achieve the exposure they now enjoy. Believe me; it’s not an easy path. Yes, in some cases, people almost stumble into their own success. Those stories exist and we’ve all heard them. But there are many more than take the hard road and literally muscle their way onto the stage. This article will look at the conceptual foundation of that process.

The first thing you’ll need to become a recognized expert in your field is expertise. There’s no way to fake this. And as an author myself, I’m certainly not encouraging any sort of deceptive run into stardom. If you have ambitions to become a recognized expert in your field, you absolutely must become an expert first. And with the internet close at hand, doing so is easier than ever.

There’s no question that the best value for your money in terms of acquiring expertise is in published books. Do a search on Amazon and you’ll quickly find more knowledge than you can handle. And for those of you who don’t like to read, you can often buy the books in audio format. In fact, you can do a search on iTunes and YouTube and probably find dozens of free podcasts or videos on your topic. And of course, a Google search will bring up all the resources you need.

The second thing you need to do is give your expertise away for free. Yes, you read that right. Give it away for free. Make yourself useful. Get out there and demonstrate your expertise. Show the world your knowledge. And the internet plays a major role in that as well. No longer do you need to publish a book to demonstrate your expertise. Now, you can publish articles like this one or start a podcast series. You can contribute to blogs or forums or you can start a blog of your own. All of these tactics will position you as an expert in your field. All of these things will increase your credibility and your exposure.

Now, the idea of publishing a book is another great option. And that’s a lot easier than it once was as well. No longer do you have to submit a proposal to the industry heavies like Penguin and Random House and pray you get accepted when thousands of others get denied. No. Now, you can find a smaller independent publisher or self-publish your own book. And regardless how you get it out there, you will make the transition from a regular runt to an author. And from that day forward, people will treat you differently. They will treat you like an expert.

The last thing you need to do is leverage the early exposure you get to widen your audience. After you’ve contributed to blogs and forums, after you’ve found an audience by podcasting, after you’ve sold 100 copies of your new book, you need to immediately put those victories into your bio and use them to position yourself for larger and larger venues. Done properly, the process can snowball and lead you on a steep climb to success.

The recognized experts in your field aren’t that different than you and I. They’re just a few steps in front of us. And just because their reality looks so different than yours, don’t think the same reality isn’t equally available to you. It is. You just have to map out a strategy and follow through with it. You have to develop expertise and then give it away for free. And then you have to leverage the early exposure to widen the audience. Good luck!

Opportunities Offered On Money Making Message Boards By Charles Mills

Charles Mills

There are a couple things to consider before taking advice that is found on money making message boards, it is important to research this advice to be sure that it will lead to earning more money. Many times the advice posted is not fact. There are a few things to consider when looking at money making message boards. The first is how realistic the advice is to a person. If the advice requires a person to invest a large quantity of money in order to start a business or invest in a start-up venture, it might not make any money, but may cost a person money instead.

The next item to consider is where the advice is coming from. There are many people who mean well, but they do not give advice that people can utilize. Take advice only from those who are experts in making money. Money making message boards can offer unique ways to make money that actually work, but it is important to make sure that those who are giving advice know what they are talking about. The third item to consider is the length of time that the advice has been on the message board and the responses it has received. Many times people can find out what will not earn a person more money by reading other postings from those who have taken advice or who have had other bad experiences.

The last item to consider when reading money making message boards is the amount of work that is involved in making extra money. If a person does not have a lot of time to start a new business or invest in an existing one, they should not pursue this advice. While money making message boards can be beneficial in many ways, people need to be aware of possible pitfalls along the way.

Does An Easy Home Based Business Opportunity Really Exist? By Jason Paul

Jason Paul

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own business lately, you may be wondering if an easy home based business opportunity really exists. Becoming your own boss and starting a home base business can be intimidating to many, so it’s comforting to know that becoming successful in whatever you decide to do isn’t a long shot. In this brief article, I’m going to go over some of the traits that a work at home business should possess in order for it to be relatively easy to begin. Hopefully by the time you’ve finished reading this article, you’ll have a better idea of exactly what you should be looking for when evaluating the various business opportunities that exist today.

Let me start by saying that there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you’re looking to jump into a home business opportunity, do no work, and strike it rich... well, you’re wasting your time quite honestly. Any business worth building will require you to put forth effort, but there are some business systems that allow you to work smart and leverage your time and effort.

One of the biggest things that I look for when trying to find an easy home based business opportunity is an automated (and proven) system. If you can effectively find a way to automate much of your day to day tasks, becoming successful with your business will become much easier.

Another thing that is important to take into consideration is a proven track record. If a business has no history of being profitable, you shouldn’t go out on a limb and try to break new ground. Finding something that is working well for others saves you wasted time and effort and allows you to fast forward your progress.

Hopefully this brief article has given you a few ideas for things that typically make a home based business opportunity easy to startup. Remember, any business worthwhile will require effort on your part, but the key is to work smarter not harder.

Important Message From My Mentor By Noel Schipanski

Noel Schipanski

I received an email just today from my Friend, Online Marketing Guru and Mentor - Stone Evans.
He is very concerned and kind of sad, that 90% of new Affiliate Marketers fail and give up in the first couple of months. It seems, that they think that Affiliate Marketing is so easy. They sign up for any old program, whack up a website, do a little bit of advertising and then expect heaps of sales. - WRONG.

Affiliate Marketing needs to be treated like any new Start-up Business. They need to plan, they need a budget, they need dedication, research, persistence, a hungry crowd, and a product that people actually need. Here is his message; I’ll let you decide.

What Makes A Successful Affiliate Marketer?

As an affiliate marketer you need 3 things in a program to maximize your income:

1) A product that people actually NEED.
Empowerism provides all the tools, training and support needed to build a successful online business.

2) A product that pays GENEROUS commissions.
Empowerism pays you $20.00 out of a $24.95 sale...that's a greater than 80% commission!

3) A product that pays you residual monthly income so you can make a sale one time and get paid FOREVER.

Empowerism pays month after month; year after year for every single member you refer. My first check from Empowerism was $5,600.00 for just 7 days of online promotion and these commission checks keep coming now every week like clockwork.

If you haven't plugged Empowerism into your online promotions yet, you are missing out on a MAJOR revenue stream.

Very often the difference between success and failure for people who want to build a profitable online business is choosing the right products and programs to promote. Many people who would normally succeed if they were in the right program end up being directed to and signing up in an opportunity that has no real chance of putting significant money in their pocket. This person unfortunately decides that online business opportunities don't work, but the reality is it was the opportunity they were trying to promote that wouldn't work for them.

When you join Empowerism you are giving yourself the best possible odds to generate a new income stream, one that can replace that of a full-time job for most people if they take it seriously. Empowerism is one opportunity that absolutely MUST be included in your online business portfolio.

If you're reading this right now, stop and sign up for Empowerism right away. One day of sitting on the sidelines is a day lost that you could be earning additional revenue from this rock-solid online business opportunity that has stood the test of time; one which has been sending out big commissions checks to ordinary people all around the world since 1998. Join today and become the NEXT Empowerism success story.

Sincerely,
Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy.

You can get Empowerism now; just go to the link below.

Hey Contractors, Have You Been Focusing On The Wrong Problem? By Ron Roberts

Ron Roberts

When you are trying to improve your business, how do you decide which problem to work on first?

» Do you work on the one that annoys you the most?

» Do you work on the one creates the most frequent fires?

» Do you work on the one that you secretly most enjoy working on?

Today’s topic is problem solving. But I’m bringing it to you with a twist.

We’re not going to discuss problem solving tools and techniques. Many forests have died giving their life to supply the thousands of pages written about problem solving techniques. If you are interested in that topic, search the internet or log on to
Amazon.com. You will find hundreds of articles, books, and seminars on the topic of how to solve problems.

No, today we are going to explore a much rarer and more important problem solving issue: how to choose the right problem to solve. It’s not as easy as you think.

A very dear, brilliant friend of mine, a retired professor from the University of Kansas’ School of Business, spent over 30 years studying how businesses and non-profit organizations improve themselves. His research revealed a startling fact:

Managers rarely choose the right problem to solve!

More often than not, the management teams he researched actually came up with great solutions to the problems they worked on. Unfortunately, those problems had no bearing on the overall performance of their companies.

Solving problems that aren’t the biggest hurdle to your business’ success, no matter how well you solve those problems, is not going to produce the improvements you seek.

If the problem you solve doesn’t have leverage, you are wasting time, energy, and money. Worse yet, when you put a lot of effort into solving a problem and it doesn’t improve your situation, you naturally assume that you came up with the wrong solution. So, you go back and try to solve the problem again. You may keep wasting time, energy, and money on that very same problem because you will be convinced that you are solving it wrong.

If you had chosen the right problem to solve, one that has leverage on your business’ performance, even a less-than-perfect solution would have had positive impact. You would have concluded you had come up with a great solution because: look at those great results! Time to move on to the next most important problem.

But how do you know which problems have leverage?

To give you some idea of how difficult picking the right problem can be, Ken identified 29 different processes that control how well a business performs. The leverage of each of the 29 differs for every company and situation. You’ve got to pick the right one to fix.

Here’s a little search tip. Look closely at the problems that you have been avoiding. The ones you haven’t been working on because you really don’t want to face them. The big bad monsters hiding in your closet.

You can just about bet that one of them will be the one you need to work on the most. It will be the one that has the most leverage on your company’s financial improvement. (For most contractors, that biggest and baddest monster hiding in the closet is the distaste for selling.)

This is why I wrote, posted on my website, and distribute my special report The 10 Biggest Mistakes Contractors Make.

I narrowed down the vast pool of mistakes contractors make to the set that has proven to be the most common and threatening. I wrote the report to help you identify the mistakes that get contractors in serious financial trouble.

If you suffer from any of those problems and are not working to solve them, you are putting yourself in harm’s way. If you are not suffering from any of those 10 problems, then you are ready to establish the six systems that propel contractors to greatness.

To build your business, focus on the right problems. Not the ones that are fun to solve. Not the ones that create the biggest heartburn. Focus on the ones that will most improve your bottom line.

The moral of the story: picking the right problem to solve is vastly more important than solving the problem perfectly.

By the way, if you would like to take a quick quiz on the status of your business and see where you may need to focus your attention, go to my web site (www.FilthyRichContractor.com) and click on Test Your Business.

How To Choose Your Accounting System For Your Home Business By Dustin Heath Cannon

Dustin Heath Cannon

Your accounting system is a very important part of your business. Your accounting system allows you to have records of all of your expenses and other financial transactions. These records are important for both personal uses as well as for tax purposes. When it comes to choosing which accounting system you want there are tow choices. You can purchase accounting system software or you can do bookkeeping and accounting by hand. The choice between these two options is really a matter of which system works best for you personally.

Accounting System Software

You can purchase accounting software online or at a local office supply store. These products are usually easy to set up and easy to use. They can be expensive, though prices vary depending on the software company name brand. You can search online or you can speak with a representative at the office supply store for detailed information on each product.

Handwritten Bookkeeping

The uses of books and hand written accounting have been around for centuries. You don’t have to have a fancy journal; instead you can keep track of your finances in notebooks. Keep separate notebooks per area of spending. One notebook for payments another for invoices and so on.

With either of these choices it is very important to input your financial transactions in correctly. If even a slight mistake is made it can cause large amounts of trouble due to just the tiniest miscalculation. If you find that either option leaves you feeling uncomfortable you can choose to hire an accountant. Depending on your budget allowance, will depend on this option is available for you. Do some research for yourself. Look into all three of these options and see which will make your business life easier and which option will keep your affairs in the best order. You can look up more information on home business accounting online or at your local library. There are hundreds of books and websites available to help you know and understand accounting and the system that may suit you best.

Once you know which accounting system you want to use, begin immediately. You want to make sure that past payment information is updated and that all of your spending is calculated and recorded. These records will allow you to know what is being spent, if changes can be made to save money and if you are going to reach your profit goals. Accounting systems keep your business affairs and financial happenings in order that allows you to keep all of your focus on your business and not just the money aspect of it. Once you have your accounting service up and running you will be able to look back and smile. You’ll be glad you made the accounting system choice that you did.

Using The Government To Start Your Business By Dustin Heath Cannon

Dustin Heath Cannon

Many people, when starting their own business, aren’t sure where to turn for assistance. Yes, there are private institutions that can help you along your way, but one of the best resources for the young and aspiring entrepreneur is the federal government. Programs and money exist to help the fledgling business owner, and it is to the individual’s peril that they ignore these opportunities.

Money is perhaps the most important thing the startup business owner needs. Without capital, you’re stuck in the mud. You need money to finance your building, your rent, your employee roster, advertising, and the cost of purchasing or creating the product you intend to sell. This can all add up to quite a bit of cash. There are private banks and lending institutions that may be willing to help, and you can always turn to your friends and family for beginning investments. However, only a fool would ignore the money and grants offered by the government. The government gives away millions of dollars a year in capital for beginner entrepreneurs. The best part about the government’s money is that they do not expect to recoup anything from their investment. These grants are given for the greater good of the economy. Do some simple internet research and you will find plenty of grants to apply for. Apply for them all.

Money is not the only thing the government can help you with when starting your own business. They offer assistance in other areas as well. This can include assistance for expansion for your small business, development, and even assistance with renovation. If you’re looking for more assistance for your small business, try the Small Business Administration Office. Through this office, the government provides free training and assistance to small business owners across the country. This training and assistance can be invaluable to the young entrepreneur that doesn’t know all the ins and outs of starting a business.

When starting a small business, it can seem like every obstacle in the world in being thrown in front of you. If you fail to take advantage of the programs and government assistance out there, you are only hurting yourself. The government understands that putting investment into small businesses helps the economy and enriches the fabric of our country. Take a look around you for examples of this in your daily life. Do you think the Hindu family that owns the dry cleaning business down the street is just naturally wealthy? Unlikely. They simply knew where to go to find assistance in starting their business. The best place to look is the government. Go and do likewise and you will be on your way to having a healthy and successful business.
